Eighteen teams will compete in the top division while the new professional league will also have 12 clubs in the second division as disclosed by officials recently. It will be overseen by a newly-created body LSPF which is headed by Louis Lamotte. The ministry of sports finally gave the go-ahead for the launching of the professional league after some reluctance.
