Chinese ambassador in Senegal receives honorary doctorate

21 (Xinhua) — Chinese Ambassador in Senegal Lu Shaye received honorary doctorate from the School of International Affairs (EIA) on Saturday in the capital Dakar. At a ceremony organized by the EIA to confer the honorary title Senegalese officials expressed appreciation of the Chinese diplomat’s efforts to promote Sino-African relations in general and cooperation between China and Senegal in particular. n the occasion Lu delivered a speech titled “observe the Sino-African relations from historic multidimensional and dialectic angles” praising the mutual support between China and Africa since the epoch of the anti-colonial struggle. The IMF examined the dossier of Senegal on Friday and approved the support under a program known as the Facility of Protection against External Shock according to a statement released by the ministry.

The race called “silent turn of solidarity” is organised by the Italian Union Sport For All (UISPT) in collaboration with Bicyclettes of Italy in Africa the NG “Peace Games” the Cyclist Federation and the lympic and Sporting National Committee of Mali. The race will serve as a tonic for the development of cycling in Mali and Senegal and will be punctuated by solidarity actions in the localities to be crossed by the caravan. “It is much more about solidarity work through sports than sporting event” explained a member of the UISPT Massimo Tossini.
