Caro Diallo from Senegal West Africa is a choreographer and dancer who has been dancing since childhood. He received professional training as a dancer in the National Ballet and with various teachers in Dakar Senegal. He is an experienced inspiring and captivating teacher and performer. Elhadji Mamadou “Pape” Ba from Senegal West Africa is a master drummer and dancer. After receiving professional training from various teachers in West Africa Pape became a member and leader of Les Ballets Africaines de Sangomar.

The Associated Press last week quoted CARE spokeswoman Alina Labrada as saying the group would accept emergency food supplies in areas hit by natural disasters. European Union countries have acceded to the change noting that the new strategies get help faster to the people who need it. Some aid organizations say twice as many people benefit from the changes. However engineering grad Andrea Spector will receive the Lieutenant-Governor’s Award with her degree. Spector’s award comes after four years of contributions to the Concordia community and involvement in multiple projects. As a co-op student she worked in Finland and Senegal as well as two terms closer to home with the City of Westmount and Inspec-Sol. “It’s great to get experience in your field. It definitely makes you more marketable. ” In the second year of her civil engineering degree she travelled to Senegal with Engineers Without Borders to work in cashew processing as well as helping to install some water pumps for agricultural use. After returning to Concordia she collaborated with a team of students in designing a compost facility for Loyola that will process the campus’s kitchen waste.
