Haroon Siddiqui DAKAR SenegalWe know Senegal as the westernmost point of Africa a shipping point of the old slave trade and lately the Dakar Rally and as West Africa’s most politically stable country where governments change democratically. Senegal should also be known as the nation that upends the West’s received wisdom on Muslims. This is not Al Qaeda turf. And the 10 million people (94 per cent Muslim 6 per cent Christian) here don’t fit any cliché. There are no hijabs in sight.

Iran Seeks Expansion of Ties with Muslim States

He said Iran enjoys an advanced judicial system which is based on Islamic principles “and due to the same reason it shares many common points with the judiciary system of other Muslim states”. Shahroudi also reiterated the need for the exchange of judicial and legal experiences with other Islamic countries. Elsewhere he stressed the necessity for Islamic solidarity and unity and said that Muslims can overcome present challenges only through solidarity. The judiciary chief further viewed exchange of experience and strengthening of cooperation among Islamic countries as a source of growth development glory and honor for the world of Islam.
